The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Youth Livestock 101 show clinic at Living For The Brand Cowboy Church in Athens Saturday, Sept. 14.

“If you have any kids out that are wanting to learn how to show steers, heifers, lambs, goats, pigs or rabbits please come out,” said Sheriff Botie Hillhouse.

“We’ll teach them basically how to feed your animal, how to maintain your animal, how to exercise your animal,” Sheriff Hillhouse said. “We’ll teach you show ring presence and what to do in the show ring.”

After the clinic there will be showmanship competitions.

The show clinic is being sponsored by the Sheriff’s Posse in conjunction with the Henderson County AgriLife Extenion Agency.

“Henderson County is coming together for this,” said Sheriff Hillhouse.

Space is limited, so call 903-675-6130 to reserve your spot today.
